What opportunities do you see for your research to be commercialized?

Venture Cup is a foundation which yearly organises a business plan competition with the objective to stimulate entrepreneurship and to eventually increase the founding of new companies in Sweden.

In order to also encourage researchers and PhD students to evaluate the commercial potential of your research, we organize a special category for you.

The winner will be awarded with 5 000 SEK. But more importantly, everyone that competes will get a personal contact in the innovation system that can help them with the commercialization of their project. This is also a perfect first step towards a participation in Venture Cup 2011-2012.

Venture Cup Research Challenge

To compete

Submit a short paper (maximum 2 pages) that describes your research project, and answer the following questions:

  1. To what extent does your research bring something new and useful to the society?
  2. What opportunities do you see for your research project to be commercialized?
  3. Which is your main target group?
  4. Please make a preliminary evaluation of the
    potential marketsize.

 

Criteria

Your application will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Level of innovation in the project
  • Commercial potential

Your submittal will be handled confidential, no information is sent to outside organisations and data security is high. We accept papers in both English and Swedish.
