Startup of the year: Amferia

Amferia has developed a patch that prevents the occurrence of infections in wounds. The patch is active against all types of bacteria including those resistant to antibiotics. The goal is to reduce the number of infections in general while the use of antibiotics can be reduced.

The jury motivation:

By challenging the monopoly with a better solution for both man and the environment, the team addresses a topical problem. With great relevance to all of humanity and enormous potential, the jury sees that this can be a significant innovation.

Impact maker: Eneryield

Eneryield has a ML solution which automatically predict, classifies and analyze power quality. Their analysis can e.g. be used for planning of grids or control of hardware. The idea benefits the digitization of the electricity grids.

The jury motivation:

The award goes to the company which, with its broad competence and strong team, has great potential to make an important and lasting impact on the environment. With their innovative algorithms, they tackle a previously overlooked problem that can result in saved resources on a global scale. Together, it creates a huge impact and a huge saving for our environment as well as economically. That something with such a good environmental impact also increases the quality of the end product is a welcome bonus.

Student Superstart: Amferia

With the ability to reach multiple markets, the jury sees an impressive potential that solves a major and current problem. With its drive, genuine enthusiasm and execution power, the jury sees that the team will have the capacity to take the product to the market both in Sweden and also globally.

Best Traction: VectorizeMove

VectorizeMove is world’s first reliable, easy-to-use service that can objectively analyse gait in everyday life (of both humans & animals) using wearable devices & robust algorithms; enabling users to detect mobility problems very early, verify efficacy of treatment and monitor recovery.

The jury motivation:

Goal-focused and with a clear strategy, the team has structured processed important influencers in their field. The jury sees a given place in the market for the company thanks to an exciting mix of access to the buyer-oriented target group and the unique technical solution. By focusing on customers from day one and with good momentum, the team now has a short path to commercial breakthrough.

Game Changer: Amferia

Wild Card: SleepCure

SleepCure är första hjälpen vid sömnproblem. SleepCure är en app-baserad sömncoach baserad på existerande vetenskap. En skalbar lösning på ett globalt hälsoproblem, så att människor med sömnproblem kan få effektiv hjälp direkt när dem behöver det.

The jury motivation:

An exciting business concept with global potential and high scalability. The business model is well thought out and combined with a strong team that knows how to build successful companies, this is a clear winner.

The Crowd Award: Helios Innovations

Helios Innovations has developed a new desalination method that utilise waste heat from industries to clean saltwater. Industries consume around 60% of the freshwater in Sweden so if they can become more self sustaining there would be enough water for humans.
